Fire damage
On the 1st of July 2021 our client, Lindsey informed us of the devasting fire that had caused major damage to her home in Southeast Wilts the previous month.
Lindsey shared some pictures of her ruined, once beautiful, Roger Oates stair carpet with us at SJH Carpets in Tisbury. The 100% Wool, Hampton Biscuit 70cm wide runner needed replacing and as a Roger Oates credited fitter we were soon on the case providing Lindsey with a quote and promise to fit as soon as she was ready.

A year in the making
By the 22nd of July the loss adjuster had accepted the quote but, sadly due to more damage found than was expected the fitting of the new runner would have to wait until the following year.
Christmas came and went and in the New Year of 2022 Lindsey emailed us to say that she was finally ready for the new runner to be ordered.
Initially wanting a March fitting, we finally had confirmation from Roger Oates that the Runner would arrive mid-May and so we began in earnest to find Lindsey the nearest fitting date possible.
Finding solutions
Our priority
We knew that the house wouldn’t be a home again until the stairs were completed and so it was of utmost importance to us that we got in as soon as possible. A date was quickly found, and the 31st of May was booked!

Upon viewing after fitting, Lindsey knew immediately that the finishing touch would be some new stair rods. She reached out to us again and we found her the perfect ones from Stair Rods Uk.
14 gorgeous Woburn Premier rods in Antique Bronze were hastily ordered and fitted as soon as they arrived at SJH’s premises.

A long journey
On the 27th June, a year after the initial fire had devastated her house, Lindsey could finally relax and enjoy her home again.
Emailing us on the 1st of July she wrote, “Our home is now complete inside after the fire damage and thank you and your fitters for the part you all played in this. It’s been a long journey!”
